Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum Open: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Aircraft dating back to World War II warbirds are on display. Admission: $9; military and seniors, $8; children 4 to 12, $4.
Open: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Features displays of vintage clothing, military uniforms, maps, photos, a research library, furniture, tools and toys. Admission: free. McLarty Treasure Museum Admission: $1; children younger than 6, free. Brevard Museum of History and Science Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. On display through Aug. 5: "Down Like Lead: 400 Years of Florida Shipwrecks" highlights 14 Florida shipwrecks from 1559 to 1942. On permanent display are a Florida timeline, a nature center with 22 acres of trails and a re-creation of the famous Windover Dig, which unearthed 7,000-year-old human remains. Admission: $5; children 3 to 17, $2.50; children younger than 3 accompanied by an adult, free. Liberty Bell Memorial Museum 1601 Oak St. Melbourne, FL 32901 (321) 727-1776 Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Full-sized replica of the Liberty Bell and model war planes and ships, weapons, uniforms, historic documents and artifacts from all wars in which the United States has fought. Cost: free. Sebastian Fishing Museum Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The museum provides the history of the commercial fishing industry in the Sebastian area and the livelihood, food and transportation the Indian River Lagoon provided people who lived in Sebastian. Cost: $3.25.
Located at the entrence to the Kennedy Space Center the Astronaut Hall of Famre is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hall of Heroes, which tells individual stories of astronauts in the Hall of Fame; Space Explorers, Today and Tomorrow, an up-close look at the space shuttle program, along with a full-scale model of a shuttle; The interactive film,"G-Force Trainer," exposes riders to a force that is four times that of the Earth; Astronaut Adventure, an interactive wing with exhibits and simulators; First on the Moon, the selection of the Apollo 11 crew; and Reaching Out, which showcases the impact of Space Camp on future leaders. Admission: $13.95; seniors 60 and older, $12.95; children 6 to 12, $9.95; children 5 and younger, free. Grant Historical House Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Visitors can tour this 1916 house on the Indian River and view its collection of antiques from many eras and countries. Donations accepted.
